AzPHTC Leadership Council

The Arizona Public Health Training Center (AzPHTC) Leadership Council is a growing body of representatives of agencies, programs and organizations in Arizona involved in some aspect of  public health, including faculty from the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health (MEZCOPH).

The AzPHTC Leadership Council meets semi-annually. The first meeting was on November 29, 2010, and the second was on March 28, 2011.  The next meeting will take place in September, date/time/place TBA.  The role of the leadership council so far has been to begin a meaningful dialogue about current challenges to public health workforce training in Arizona, assist in development and execution of a workforce training needs assessment, and identify training opportunities that could be implemented in the very near future.  For this objective we formed two Workgroups: the Workforce Training Needs Assessment Workgroup, and the Training Delivery Workgroup.
